BrainSpin: Enhancing Neuroplasticity, Inclusion, and Well-being in Parkinson’s Disease through Table Tennis is an Erasmus+ Sport Cooperation Partnership project coordinated by Alma Mater Europaea University (Slovenia) together with partners from Germany, Croatia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Greece.
The project introduces table tennis as an innovative rehabilitation tool for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Unlike repetitive exercises, table tennis provides motor, cognitive, and social stimulation, supporting neuroplasticity, balance, and overall quality of life.
Our association No Brain, No Gain is proud to contribute to this project by sharing expertise in motor-cognitive training methods and by helping to develop activities that combine sport, neuroscience, and inclusion. We will be actively involved in knowledge transfer, training, and dissemination to ensure that the results reach not only professionals but also patients, caregivers, and the wider community.
For No Brain, No Gain, BrainSpin is a valuable opportunity to:
- Strengthen our role as a bridge between science and practice.
- Support the development of innovative, low-cost, and accessible rehabilitation methods.
- Contribute to a European network of professionals and associations working for better quality of life in Parkinson’s disease.
By participating in BrainSpin, we continue our mission to bring evidence-based, inclusive, and engaging sport practices to those who need them most.
