dr. TINE KOVAČIČ
Tine Kovčič is an accomplished physiotherapist and educator with extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. He holds a specialized background in habilitation and rehabilitation, particularly for children and adolescents with special needs.
Employment History:
· September 2002 – August 2010: Graduated Physiotherapist and Group Habilitator with Special Knowledge, Head of the Work Unit at the Home for Children and Adolescents Reseč – Education, Work, and Care Centre Dobrna.
· September 2009 – August 2020: Graduated Physiotherapist with Special Skills – Independent Consultant, Head of the Medical Rehabilitation Department at the Education, Work, and Care Centre Dobrna. In this role, Tine was responsible for:
o Planning, organizing, and executing diagnostic and therapeutic work with users, applying special skills.
o Preparing and implementing professional plans, reports, and evaluations of professional documentation.
o Providing advice and cooperation with parents, guardians, user advocates, and professionals.
o Introducing new work methods and conducting development research activities.
o Managing and organizing the department’s operations and ensuring tasks were completed in line with work plans.
o Engaging in scientific research activities.
· October 2014 – March 2018: Lecturer at Alma Mater Europaea – European Center Maribor, Department of Physiotherapy (20% additional employment).
· October 2018 – September 2020: Senior Lecturer at Alma Mater Europaea – European Center Maribor, Department of Physiotherapy (20% additional employment).
· September 2020 – September 2022: Higher Education Teacher and Head of the PhD Study Program in Physiotherapy at Alma Mater Europaea – European Center Maribor (100% employment).
· October 2022 – Present: Higher Education Teacher at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana.
· 2024 – Present: Expert at the Association “Movement for the Brain ‘No Brain, No Gain'”.
